Keep the music playing.

Baroque music was written for rooms where the audience sat close enough to hear the bow meet the string. Hearing it that way — live, in a church or a small hall, played by musicians who have given their working lives to this repertoire — is rare. Bringing that experience to Vancouver Island audiences is the reason the Victoria Baroque Music Society exists.

We are a volunteer-run, not-for-profit charitable society. Ticket sales cover only part of what it takes to put a concert on stage: musicians, rehearsals, venues, and programmes all come before the first note is played. The rest comes from people who love this music and want to keep hearing it here.
